Play Ball!

Jamie has been waiting patiently for his son to be old enough to play baseball, and to hopefully WANT to play baseball. This year will be the year. Jack has taken a real liking to playing baseball, and he is finally old enough to play on a t-ball team. Jamie, of course, volunteered to be the coach. Almost every night, Jack asks Jamie if they can go out and play ball for a while. It's so cute.

And, not to sound biased or anything, I think Jack's really good (I guess I shouldn't be surprised, since it's in his genes). He hits balls that are actually pitched to him and he has pretty decent aim and strength in his arm (we're still not sure if he's lefty or righty!).  One thing we'll have to work on is his base-running. EVERY time he hits the ball, regardless of how far the ball has gone, he does this....
Drops the bat, runs in a big circle....

aaaaaannd then falls to the ground,
as he "slides" into home plate.

SAFE!

It's hard to believe that this little guy is going to be five in a few weeks.

It going to be a fun summer!
