Girls Weekend

I just spent three days with these awesome girls in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains...

Anne is one of my very best friends from college, and Tracy and Amy are great friends who I work with now and who also became very close to Anne when she lived with me and worked at the same school with us. We went to visit Anne in West Virginia this weekend where she has lived for the past 6 1/2 years. We spent a night in Maryland at a ski resort where we went tubing, and we absolutely laughed ourselves silly. It was so much fun. WAAAY better than skiing, if you ask me!Anne is the kind of friend who makes me feel like a kid again, no matter the situation. She's always up for fun, and she never ever lets anything get her down. When she and I get together, it's usually a recipe for craziness and fun. We just can't help it.

Our friendship has stood the test of time since the day we met our freshman year in college. She has ALWAYS been there for me.

I wish she were still here in Chicago, but I will admit that it is so beautiful where she lives, and I'd love to visit again.

The weekend was full of all things RELAXING and FUN. We went to the movies, went out to eat, got massages, played in the snow, sat by the fireplace (and posed like

we were taking a family Christmas photo...haha)

and enjoyed each other's company.

And when we were back at Anne and Joe's house, we got to spend time with her two adorable little girls, Elise and Olivia. Elise, is 4 1/2 and was so thrilled to be a part of our little group. We let her watch the Golden Globes with us and drink out of fancy glasses.

She even did our makeup and hair for the big event!

And then there's Livvy. My GODDAUGHTER.

I got to see her hilariously cute personality and spend a lot of uninterrupted time with her.

It was one of those weekends that we won't soon forget-Treasured times with treasured friends.
